An L.A. classic since 1978, Body Builders Gym is a true neighborhood gym. When Erik Flowers and his aunt, Jackie Joniec, bought the place six years ago, they knew the responsibility for keeping the close-knit feeling resided with them.

Jackie Joniec: Came from Detroit, MI, by way of Las Vegas, where she was a professional caterer and office manager for a publishing company. She lives in Atwater Village and has two daughters. (Jackie is Erik's aunt.) Erik Flowers: Came from Detroit, MI, by way of Las Vegas, where he worked for the Governor and trained part-time. He has been a Personal Trainer for over 25 years. Erik is married and has one daughter. He also has authored three entertainment industry books. |
